During the week, Environmental Center staff members operate the library, but on Saturdays volunteers do all the work.
Responsibilities
Volunteers restock shelves, check books in and out, answer the phone, and assist patrons with finding books. They also answer a myriad of nature questions.
Requirements
Volunteers do not have to have experience working in libraries. However, they must enjoy talking with people and be comfortable using a computer and restocking shelves. Additionally, volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Best of all, volunteers are asked to commit to working only three hours each month.

Shuts Library is open Monday - Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM, closing 1-2 pm for lunch. Holiday hours may vary.
